At Colorado Destination Academy, we believe in more than just basketball—we believe in building a brighter future for young athletes, both on and off the court. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, our mission is to leverage the power of sports to positively influence the lives of youth in the Denver Metro Area and beyond.

Through our national prep team and accredited academic school partner (CODCA), we provide student-athletes with a unique and comprehensive platform to excel in both their athletic and educational journeys. We strive to create a well-rounded experience that prioritizes elite athletic development, academic excellence, and personal growth, preparing our athletes for success at the next level and in life.

Empowering Through Basketball

CDA was founded with the understanding that sports have the power to change lives. Our programs serve as a foundation for young athletes to develop essential life skills, including discipline, teamwork, leadership, and perseverance. Whether participating in our youth academy or preparing for college through our national high school prep program, we aim to cultivate not just talented basketball players, but also well-rounded individuals who are ready to succeed in life beyond sports.

Our Commitment to EDUCATION

While basketball is our passion, we place equal importance on the academic success of our student-athletes. We believe that education is the key to long-term success, and we work closely with our players to ensure that their performance in the classroom is just as strong as their performance on the court.  We have partnered with Colorado Destinations Career Academy to provide online education options for families looking for an alternative and more flexible, quality education for their child.

We are committed to making a positive impact in the Denver Metro Area, offering a space where youth from diverse backgrounds can come together, work toward common goals, and develop their full potential. By fostering an environment of inclusivity, opportunity, and support, we strive to uplift our community as a whole.

Why We’re a Non-Profit

As a non-profit, CDA operates with a singular focus on the well-being and development of our athletes, rather than profit. Our non-profit status allows us to prioritize affordability and accessibility, ensuring that young athletes, regardless of their financial background, have the opportunity to participate in our programs. We actively seek donations, sponsorships, and grants to help subsidize the costs of our programs, equipment, facilities, and coaching staff, ensuring that all resources are directed toward enhancing the experience for our players and supporting their growth.

What We Do

1. Youth Academy Teams (Grades 2-8): We offer competitive and developmental basketball programs for both boys and girls in grades 2-8. Our focus is on building fundamental skills, fostering teamwork, and preparing athletes for the next level of competition.

2. National High School Prep Program: For boys looking for an elevated high school basketball experience blended with high level academic preparation. This program is designed to help athletes gain exposure, develop their skills, and position themselves for college recruitment.

3. Community Engagement: We organize events, clinics, and outreach programs to give back to the community and provide opportunities for all local youth to engage in sports, regardless of their economic situation.

How You Can Support Our Mission

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the support of individuals, businesses, and community organizations to help us fulfill our mission. There are many ways you can contribute to the success of our student-athletes:

• Donate: Your financial contributions go directly toward providing scholarships, equipment, and opportunities for our athletes. The link above as well as the floating donate tab on our website will take you directly to our fundraising campaign.
• Sponsor: Partner with us to support specific programs, teams, or community events.
• Volunteer: We are always in need of dedicated individuals who are passionate about youth development and basketball to assist with coaching, mentoring, and events.
